Monumental Inscriptions

This section has been created from information obtained from a variety of sources. Some monumental inscriptions have been copied directly from the actual gravestones which are still extant. Others have been discovered in the Owen Manuscripts, a copy of which is held at Stockport Local Studies Library, and the remainder have been obtained from the North Cheshire Family History Society's list of Cheshire monumental inscriptions or from their library sources. In all cases the source of the information has been identified except for those obtained directly from the stone.
