Yorks08 - Descendants of George Hulley born 1802 and died 1836
This family tree covers the Hulley families who lived between 1841 and 1901 in an area of Sheffield which lies to the north-west of the city centre at the start of Penistone and Netherthorpe Roads. The male members of this family were almost exclusively employed as either file cutters, forgers or makers whilst many of their wives and daughters also assisted in the same trade.

A search of online 19th century newspapers has revealed a few entries for members of this FT i.e. Emmeline (Eveline) Hulley b.1853; George Rawson Hulley b.1855; and marriages between John Hulley and Hannah Wadsworth (1852); William Higgins and Mary Hulley (1867); and William Henry Gill and Ethel Hulley (1895 in Newark, New Jersey, USA).
