Note: The above baptism entries appear to be for the same event. Because there is definite evidence of
the marriage date of Francis Hully and Elizabeth Dawbiggan, the latter date has been taken as the correct
date for the baptism of Christopher Hully.

1757 19 May - made Will:
In the Name of God Amen. I FRANCIS HULLY of Lancaster in the County of Lancaster Weaver do make
and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say, I Give and
Bequeath unto my Son CHRISTOPHER HULLY One Pair of Bedstocks and Hangings, one Feather Bed
and Bedcloathes and one Chest; I also Give and Bequeath unto my other Son THOMAS HULLY One
Pair of Bedstocks and Hangings one Feather Bed and Bedcloathes and a Trunk; All the Rest Residue
and Remainder of my Household Goods and Household Furniture whatsoever and what kind soever
now standing and being in the Dwelling house in Lancaster aforesaid wherein I now live, I Give and
bequeath the same to my Daughter ELIZABETH HULLY to and for her own use and Benefit; And I also
Give and bequeath to my said Daughter ELIZABETH HULLY the sum of Ten pounds of Lawful money of
Great Britain; And I hereby give and bequeath unto my Two Sons CHRISTOPHER HULLY and
THOMAS HULLY equally to be divided betwixt them and for their equal Use and Benefit and my
Working Tools and Instruments of my Trade Stock in Trade Ready Money Debts due and owing to me
and all other my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what kind and Nature soever
which I have not before Given and bequeathed in and by this my Will, not doubting, but strongly hoping
that they will always live together in Brotherly Love, and that no Disputes or Differences will at any Time
arise between them after my Death touching the Division of such part of my Worldly Effects as I have
herin before Given and Bequeathed to them; And lastly I do hereby Name and Appoint my said two
Sons CHRISTOPHER HULLY and THOMAS HULLY joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament
In Witness whereof I the said FRANCIS HULLY have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Nineteenth
day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Fifty seven.

I Thomas Hully of Beck-grains in Mewith in the parish
of Bentham and County of York Linen-weaver being of
sound, perfect and disposing Mind Memory and
Understanding (praised be to God for the same) do make
publish and ordain this my last Will and Testament
in manner and form following, that is to say,

In the first place I do give and bequeath unto my Sister Elizabeth
the Wife of Thomas Dowbiggin the sum of Four Pounds yearly
(being the Interest arising from One Hundred Pounds hereafter
by me given and bequeathed) to be duly paid to her by my Executor
hereafter named during the natural Life of her Husband Thomas
Dowbiggin if she happens to survive her said Husband, and also
in case she survive him the said Thomas Dowbiggin I do bequeath
the said Principal sum of One Hundred Pounds to my aforesaid
sister Elizabeth Dowbiggin to be at her Disposal if she so long
fortune to live, but in Case of her Death before him the said Thomas
Dowbiggin I do hereby postively order and direct the same
Principal Sum of One Hundred Pounds to be equally divided
amongst the Children of her (Elizabeth Dowbiggin aforesaid)
share and share alike - I do also further give and bequeath
to my Brother John Hully the Sum of Twenty Pounds - Likewise
I give and bequeath unto Ellen the Widow of Francis Hully
Deceased, and to her Son John Hully the Younger of Graystonegill
the Sum of One Pound and One Shilling Each - I also further
bequeath to Mary the Wife of John Tunstall, Sarah the Wife of
John Thompson, and Elizabeth the Wife of Moses Marshall the
Sum of One Pound and One Shilling Each - And I further give
and bequeath unto Francis the son of John Hully and Catherine
Hully his Daughter Each the Sum of One Guinea All which
said Legacies (the first only excepted) I do hereby positively
order and direct shall be paid by my Executor at the End of
Twelve Months next after my Decease All the Rest
Residue and Remainder of my personal Estate and Effects
whatsoever and wheresoever after my just Debts, said Legacies
Costs of Probat of this my last Will and Testament and
Funeral Expences be paid and discharged I do give and
bequeath to my Brother Christopher Hully of Lancaster who
I nominate constitute and appoint sole Executor of this
my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the
said Thomas Hully have hereunto set my Hand and
Seal the Fourteenth Day of February in the Year of our
Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Ninety four.
