243. John (Jack) Francis Hulley
This person was known as Jack Hulley from infancy - information from Ray(f) Lazarus.
2007 14 Mar - Information supplied by Ray Lazarus:
Their eldest child was John Francis Hulley (born Maclear 24/11/1901, now deceased, date unknown) (though known from infancy as “Jack”). He married twice.
(1) Rene Marshall. There were two children, Marion (not Marianne) and Edward. The remaining names on the website (Annie, Lilly, Isobel and Jennie are incorrect – they are evidently transpositions of the names of John Francis’s sisters, who included my mother, who was always called Lil and perhaps Lilly when younger). John Francis’s son, Edward, married Tonie Roberts – they had 3 children: Hardy, Derek and Geena.
(2) Mariana Koster following the death of Rene (no children). Mariana died approximately 2004. Jack (John Francis) became a mechanic. He moved to Aliwal North, E Cape. His children were born and grew up there, but later moved away, Marion eventually to Grahamstown and Edward to Johannesburg (present whereabouts unknown).

Hi Ray
At last I have managed to get info on my grandmother, Inez E Hulley..
I have found out that “John (Jackson) Conrad Hulley” first married Inez Elisa Dunning on 7th Jan 1919. They were married in the St Olave district in London. Jackson was in England serving in the 4th South African Scottish Regiment. They obviously went back to South Africa. To my knowledge they never got divorced. Inez, my grandmother could not marry my grandfather because Jackson refused her a divorce. Apparently my father’s eldest sister was registered as a Hulley and not a Spiller. According to my Grandfather’s (Gerald Raymond Spiller)WW2 records in 1940 he was still single but Inez Hulley was still alive and his next of kin. Inez E Hulley / Spiller died in 1946...
Unfortunately I don’t know enough about Jackson, When did he get married to Anna Sophia Koekemoer ? , Did he ever grant Inez a divorce? Is my aunt Jackson Hulley’s daughter? When did Jackson die?,
