1. James Hulley

There is no evidence at this stage (January 2003) to link JAMES HULLEY to any of the other family trees for the Ashton under Lyne district. His age at death is unknown otherwise this may have given a clue to his birthdate. On the assumption that he married Hannah Hurst when he was between 18 and 25 then he was probably born between 1729 and 1736. He named his first child William and if convention was followed, this would have been the first name of James's grandfather.
