1. Lawrence Hulley
There are no known ancestors for LAWRENCE HULLEY at this stage (August 1999). However, LAWRENCE is a first name used in other HULLEY/HOOLEY/HOWLEY families in the Macclesfield area eg LAWRENCE HULLEY/HULEY/HOLEY/HEYLEY who had livery of his father's lands in Ranow in 1524 (PRO ref SC2 258/7 f5rev). He also appeared on the Rainow Subsidy Roll of 1560 (PRO ref E85/51 f1). He died circa 1565 and had a son JOHN, whose first son (born before 1572) was named LORANCE after his grandfather.
LAWRENCE HULLEY of Ashton under Lyne, Lusley and Digbanke had no known male descendants after 1638.
