This family tree is an offshoot of Ches02 through James, the eldest son of William Hooley and Ann Shatwell. William and Ann's other 8 children remain on Ches02.

January 2014
Two sources of recently published information have been searched for members of this family. The Cheshire Electoral Registers 1842-1900 (1,448 Hulley entries) are now on Find my Past and Thomas Hooley c1811 and Abraham Hooley c1817 are listed on this Register. Cheshire Tithe Apportionments 1814-1850 (200 Hulley entries) are shown on the Cheshire Archives and Local Studies website and David Hooley c1804 is included on this list. January 2011
Three more children of James Hooley and Sarah Barnes (married at Prestbury in 1796) have been found. These are Jane b.1819, Isaac b.1821 and William b.1823.
July 2010
A search of on-line newspapers has revealed two entries for members of this FT - James Hooley b.1815 and Leonard Hooley b.1862. Full details are shown in their Notes.

I have added the spouses of the following daughters of Thomas and Sarah Hooley (nee Redfern):
Sarah Ann born 1841 (Edwin Goodwin spouse); Rachel Ann born 1851 (John Brocklehurst spouse); Fanny born 1854 (Thomas Newton spouse).
