the Slaughter House and other the Appurtenances thereunto belonging, situate and being in a certain
street in Stockport aforesaid, called the Higher Hillgate, near unto a Place called the Toll Bars, and now in
the holding or Occupation of William Follows, George Massey, and John Hulley, as Tenants at Will.

This is the last Will AND TESTAMENT of me ROBERT HULLEY of Stockport in the
County of Chester Hatter made and published this Tenth day of February in the year of
our Lord One thousand and eight hundred in manner and form following, (that is to
say) First I order and direct all my just debts and Funeral and Testamentary charges to
be paid by my Executors hereinafter named out of my Personal Estate which I do
hereby subject and charge with the payment thereof accordingly I Give devise and
bequeath All Those my four several Messuages or Dwellinghouses Hatt Shop and
Outhouse with the Land and other the Appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging
situate standing and being in Canal Street in Stockport aforesaid, And also all and
every my Household and other Goods and Furniture Chattles and Implements in trade
and all other my Estate and Effects of what nature and kind soever and the Rents
Issues and Profits thereof and of every part thereof to my dear and loving Wife SARAH
and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural life without arising any wilful or
voluntary waste to the same and keeping the same in good and tenantable repair and
Condition and paying the Interest of the sum of One Hundred and twenty Pounds and

said Trustees and the Survivors of them his Heirs or Assigns shall and do as soon as
convenient maybe after the decease of my said Wife SARAH make sale and absolutely

respectively for his her or their purchase money or monies and such purchaser or
purchasers shall not afterwards be answerable for the same or for the misapplication
or nonapplication thereof AND as to the money to arise by sale of the said Four several

Appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging and all other my Estate and Effects
hereinbefore Devised to be sold, I do hereby order and direct my said Trustees and the
Survivor of them his Heirs or Assigns that they shall place and continue the money
arising from such Sale upon such Securities as they or the Survivor of them his Heirs
Executors or Administrators shall judge prudent and from time to time call in the same
and change such Security or securities and pay and apply the interest arising
therefrom in the maintenance education and bringing up of my Children until he she or
they shall attain the age of twenty one years, AND I do hereby order and direct my said
Trustees to pay apply and divide I also give devise and bequeath the same unto and
amongst my Four Children, namely JAMES, ROBERT, HANNAH and SARAH and the
issue of such of them as shall be then dead leaving issue (such issue nevertheless to
take only such share or shares as the Parent of Parents of such issue could if living
have taken) and their respective Heirs and Assigns equally share and share alike
which said sums of money or any part thereof shall not be subject to the controls debts
or engagements of either of my said two Daughters Husbands and which my said two
Daughters receipts only (notwithstanding their Coverture) shall from time to time be a
sufficient discharge and discharges to my said Executors, And I do hereby nominate
and appoint the said SAMUEL SLACK and PETER WALKER Executors of this my last
Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will and Wills Codicil and Codicils by
me at any time heretofore made and declaring this only to be my last Will and
Testament, And I do hereby Will and declare that it shall and may be lawful to and for
my said Trustees and Executors out of the said Trust monies which may come to
their Hands by virtue of this my Will from time to time to deduct and retain all costs
charges and expences which they or either of them may sustain or expend (together
with a reasonable allowance or compensation for their loss of time and trouble in the
execution of the Trusts aforesaid) And that my said Trustees and Executors
respectively shall not be answerable or accountable for nay loss of monies by placing
the same in any Bank or Bankers Hands or placing the same out at Interest on

say) First I order and direct all my just debts and Funeral and Testamentary charges to
be paid by my Executors hereinafter named out of my Personal Estate which I do
hereby subject and charge with the payment thereof accordingly I Give devise and
bequeath All Those my four several Messuages or Dwellinghouses Hatt Shop and
Outhouse with the Land and other the Appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging

and appoint the said SAMUEL SLACK and PETER WALKER Executors of this my last
Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will and Wills Codicil and Codicils by
me at any time heretofore made and declaring this only to be my last Will and
Testament, And I do hereby Will and declare that it shall and may be lawful to and for
my said Trustees and Executors out of the said Trust monies which may come to
their Hands by virtue of this my Will from time to time to deduct and retain all costs
charges and expences which they or either of them may sustain or expend (together
with a reasonable allowance or compensation for their loss of time and trouble in the
execution of the Trusts aforesaid) And that my said Trustees and Executors
respectively shall not be answerable or accountable for nay loss of monies by placing
the same in any Bank or Bankers Hands or placing the same out at Interest on
Government Security or elsewhere for safe Custody or for any other loss which may
happen without their respective wilful neglect or default nor shall the one of them be
answerable or accountable for the other of them or for the Acts Deeds receipts or
