1820 1 Sep - shown as Executor in the Will of Squire Hulley, uncle who lived at Rossbottom, Staley Bridge: I give and devise unto my daughter Esther the wife of James Sidebottom and to Hannah the wife of my Nephew George Hulley All those my four several messuages or Dwellinghouses beforementioned situate at Rossbottom aforesaid To hold the same unto them my said daughter Esther, and Hannah the wife of my said nephew George Hulley their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for and during all my Estate Term and Interest therein respectively as tenants in common and not as joint tenants Subject nevertheless to the use and occupation of the house in which I now live by my wife as aforesaid and also to the payment of the said annuity to my said wife during her natural life and to the power and remedy for recovery thereof as aforesaid. ALSO I give and devise unto my said daughter Esther and to Hannah the wife of my nephew George Hulley All that my leasehold Estate which I now hold under the Earl of Stamford and Warrington situate and being at Luzley within the aforesaid parish of Ashton under line and now in the occupation of James Shaw as tenant thereof TO HOLD the same unto them my said daughter Esther and Hannah the wife of my said nephew George Hulley, their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for and during all my Estate Term and Interest therein as tenants in common and not as joint tenants AND all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever and not herein before by me disposed of I give devise and bequeath unto my said daughter Esther and to the said Hannah the wife of my Nephew George Hulley and to their Heirs and Assigns for ever or for and during all my Estate term and Interest therein respectively as tenants in common and not as joint tenants AND lastly I nominate constitute and appoint the aforesaid James Sidebottom my son in law and the aforesaid George Hulley my nephew Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will and Wills by me heretofore made and I now declare this and this only to be my last Will and Testament IN WITNESS whereof I the said Squire Hulley have hereunto set and put my hand and seal this first day of September in the Year or our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and twenty. 1836 12 Oct - Naturalization papers of George Hulley: (Extracted from A History of the Hulley family from 1490 to 1963 page 19). Be it remembered that heretofore to wit, on the 12th day of October A.D. 1836 comes the said George Hulley Sr. in the office of the clerk of Switzerland circuit of said county and State aforesaid, and makes report of himself in these words and figures following to wit- That his name is George Hulley. That he was born in Lancashire in the county of Lancaster in England in the year 1774. That his age is 62. That he set sail in the year 1832 from Liverpool, England and landed in Philidelphia in the state of Pennsylvania in the said year 1832. That he resided in Delaware County in the sad state until the year 1836. That he then came to the county of Switzerland and state of Indiana. That he owes allegiance to William the 4th, King of Great Britian and Ireland.
1854 19 Feb - died in Indiana, buried in Ebenezer Graveyard.
